NAGOYA, Japan — September 19, 2026 — The 20th Asian Games officially opened on Saturday, September 19, at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium, bringing together more than 11,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions for 16 days of competition across 43 sports and 469 medal events .
