We explore how our day-to-day experience of the weather may change in a warmer world. We compare weather model experiments that share the same weather patterns, but have different levels of CO2 and ocean surface warming. In the warmer experiments, the biggest temperature changes occur on the coldest and hottest days. Daily swings in rainfall become larger, and we see fewer drizzly days and more days with heavy rain. This illustrates the impact of climate change on our day-to-day weather.
