Iran’s Assembly of Experts has appointed Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei as the country’s new supreme leader, succeeding his father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who was killed in US-Israeli strikes on February 28, as the war with the United States and Israel enters its tenth day.
